Rebecca Regnier - 13ABC

Rebecca Regnier has worked in media for twenty years – beginning with as a sideline reporter for ESPN while attending Michigan State University. She’s worked at WTVG since 1996 and rose through the ranks from reporter to anchor and now to her current role covering good news stories in the region. Rebecca was the first media professional in Toledo on Twitter and has built a loyal following. Online Rebecca writes a diet humor blog called Does This Blog Make Us Look Fat and has been chosen by national health brands like Weight Watchers to blog about their Lose for Good initiative. Over 15-hundred people subscribe to her diet humor newsletter. Rebecca pioneered the use of the Twitter Party back in 2009 and turned the social media #soiree into a trending topic. Rebecca writes a weekly humor column for the Monroe Evening News and sends hundreds of readers each week to the online version of the newspaper’s site using her social media network. In 2010 Rebecca propelled her non-profit to the top spot in social media driven Pepsi Refresh competition. The $250,000 Pepsi grant is being used to build a weight room for her Alma Mater, Bedford High School.

Michael Miller – Toledo Free Press

Michael S. Miller is editor in chief of Toledo Free Press, Lucas County’s largest-circulated newspaper. Toledo Free Press has been named Best Weekly Newspaper in Ohio for 2009 and 2010 by the Ohio Society for Professional Journalists. A Toledo native and graduate of Libbey High School and the University of Toledo, Michael has worked for newspapers in Washington, DC; Pittsburgh, Penn.; San Jose, Calif.; and Miami, Fla. Michael has been recognized with more than 75 industry awards, including 2002 Humor Columnist of the Year by the National Association of Newspaper Columnists; one of the three 2010 Best Columnists in Ohio by the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists and three consecutive Best Column awards by the Toledo Crystal Awards. Michael and his wife Shannon are raising two sons, Evan, 4, and Sean, 2.

Lisa Renee Ward – Glass City Jungle

Lisa Renee Ward is a life long area resident of Toledo, Ohio.  Ward is married to Miguel Roman and is the mother of five children, the grandmother of two.  She started blogging in 2004 with a focus on national politics and served as a contributor on the national political site, WatchBlog.  Ward launched Glass City Jungle in 2006 to provide information and to facilitate more discussion on local political topics. Glass City Jungle is one of Toledo's most popular political blogs as well as holds top ranking in the state of Ohio.   In addition to earning a reputation as Toledo's most prolific blogger, Ward also writes a weekly column, "Shredding the Curtain" for Toledo Free Press that focuses on transparency in government, is a fact checker during the publication aspect of  Toledo Free Press and is currently their Web Editor. Ward also operates six other smaller blogs and was formerly the Ohio Editor for BNN Ohio (BlogNetNews Ohio).

During the rare moments she unplugs from the internet, Ward loves history.  She is the author of the book "The Loved and the Forgotten of Ohio" which chronicles Ohio history moments learned in searching for her late father's family.

Jason Mack – Independent Collegian

Jason Mack, a senior in communications at the University of Toledo, was recently named editor-in-chief of the Independent Collegian. Mack, who served as managing editor throughout the academic year, is excited to lead the newspaper and its digital components (website, Facebook fan page, Twitter and YouTube channels). The Temperance, Mich. native has worked at the IC for four years and considers his experience at the newspaper on par with his educational experience at the University of Toledo.
